Netflix’s Queen Sono series release date has been announced as 28th February 2020. That two short months we’ll have to wait before we can revel in the first all African produced series to appear on Netflix.

The streaming service have also released a very, very brief synopsis of the show’s plot in a recent press release. According to the release: “After the assassination of her mother, Queen Sono (Pearl Thusi) grows up to become a kick- ass yet unconventional spy devoted to protecting the people of Africa. During a dangerous field assignment, Queen unknowingly uncovers shocking details about her mother’s death, sparking her own truth-finding mission.”
